Social and Family Services Technicians: Providing support that is close to parents and children.

A little-known profession, "TISFs" visit families in need to support mothers and find practical solutions, so that children can thrive in a supportive environment. How can we support and assist families in need during the perinatal period? Among the various professionals who provide in-home services, social and family intervention technicians (TISFs) have held a unique role for many years. As licensed social workers, they provide hands-on assistance to families in organizing daily life, caring for and educating children, and supporting administrative procedures and social integration—all of which form the core of their profession.
