Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Update as of October 15, 2013.
Since September 1, 2013,
74 cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning have been reported, exposing 225 people to CO fumes, 147 of whom were transported to a hospital emergency department.
A mass CO poisoning incident occurred following a motocross event held in an enclosed space.
The Directorate General for Health, the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Crisis Management, the National Institute for Prevention and Health Education, and the Institute for Public Health Surveillance issued a press release to remind the public of preventive measures designed to avoid CO poisoning.
