Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Update as of November 25, 2012
Over the past two weeks, 51 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning have been reported, involving 138 people, 4 of whom died.
The four deaths that occurred during week 2012_S46 were linked to the improper use of a wood stove (1 death), an internal combustion engine (1 death), and a malfunctioning boiler (2 deaths).
Since September 1, 2012, 284 cases of CO poisoning have been reported to the surveillance system, compared to 261 during the same period in 2011
