Key points for Weeks 7 and 8 (February 14–27, 2011)

  • The number of reported cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is lower (n=65) than that observed during the same period last year (n=107).

  • No mass incidents in public buildings were reported to the surveillance system during weeks 07 and 08.

  • One accidental death in a residential setting was reported to the surveillance system. According to the information available at the time of the report, this death was caused by a failure in the exhaust system of a boiler.
