Announced in January 2020 by the President of the Republic, the National Conference on Mental Health and Psychiatry, scheduled for September 27 and 28, 2021, marks a historic moment in the national debate. Bringing together all relevant stakeholders in the context of a pandemic that has weakened not only bodies but also minds, this event aims to establish a shared assessment of the state of mental health care for the French population, the availability of psychiatric care, and the support services offered to them.

On this occasion, Geneviève Chêne, Director General of Santé publique France, will participate in the roundtable discussion on prevention, identification, and referral for psychological distress and suicide risk.
