In response to the growing need for knowledge in the broad and diverse field of non-food-borne zoonoses, the InVS established a process in 2000 to identify diseases requiring priority surveillance and the actions to be implemented. This "prioritization," carried out by a multidisciplinary group of experts, led to recommendations regarding training and information for professionals and the public, surveillance efforts generally aimed at early warning, and specific studies by identified disease. This report summarizes the actions implemented from 2000 to 2005 based on these recommendations. The main results are presented, accompanied by references providing detailed information on each action. (R.A.)
