An Overview of Initial Training in Patient Therapeutic Education in France. Results of a National Descriptive Survey.

This document compiles the results of a national survey conducted among individuals responsible for teaching health education or patient therapeutic education within institutions providing initial training for healthcare professionals in France. The survey was conducted by telephone using a questionnaire and focused on patient therapeutic education from the perspective of how the instruction is organized and the resources used, as well as on the factors driving the development of these programs. The document is divided into two parts: The first addresses the objectives, the target population, as well as the methodology and ethical aspects of the study. The second part presents the results first in a comprehensive overview and then by profession. In this latter section, the results are presented using the same structure to facilitate reading and allow for a cross-disciplinary understanding of the findings.
