Prevention
Vaccination as of July 25, 2022 (COVID-19 Vaccine Data):
Vaccination coverage for the booster dose remains stable at 75.1% among the population aged 18 and older and 85.0% in the 65+ age group
Second booster dose: 22.4% of 60-79 year-olds (representing 31.2% of those eligible given the time since their last injection) and 31.3% of people aged 80+ (41.8% of those eligible)
In light of summer vacations and activities that facilitate virus transmission, adherence to the combined measures remains essential to protect the most vulnerable populations. The following precautions are particularly vital:
staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations;
self-isolating if you have symptoms or test positive for COVID-19;
implementing protective measures, including wearing a mask (around vulnerable people and in enclosed spaces conducive to transmission, especially public transportation and large gatherings), and frequent handwashing.
During heat waves, ventilation of enclosed spaces should be limited to the cooler hours of the day.
