Taking Care of Yourself to Better Care for Others [Interview]

Early childhood professions expose practitioners to psychological distress that can affect the children in their care. This risk can be mitigated by developing additional skills that foster a less top-down approach in interactions with parents, in favor of a more collaborative approach. This shift in approach, which reassures the children and improves the daily lives of professionals, must be supported by the organizations.
