Saint-Étienne’s Mobile Psychiatry Team for the Vulnerable: Reaching Out to the Marginalized to Help Them Access Care [Interview].

Psychologists, nurses, and other professionals from the Saint-Étienne Mobile Psychiatric Team for People in Precarious Situations (EMPP) reach out to people living in precarious conditions—on the streets and in social service facilities—to identify their needs, refer them to appropriate services, and help them access healthcare. They serve as a liaison between psychiatric services and social work teams. However, the medical-social network needed to take over after the EMPP’s work is not always in place. Testimony from one of the psychologists.
