As part of an exploratory analysis of surgical activity for prostate cancer, a study of data from the PMSI database was conducted for the year 1998. The study’s objectives were to: - determine the number and characteristics of inpatient stays resulting from surgical procedures for prostate cancer, - assess the activity of healthcare facilities by region, - evaluate healthcare facilities based on patients’ places of residence.
