Geneva: Multidisciplinary care for overweight children.

In Geneva, hospitals have launched an obesity prevention and management program specifically designed for children. Developed by healthcare professionals, this program consists of an intensive six-month phase followed by a minimum of twelve months of follow-up—a protocol that has enabled the program to secure reimbursement for services from the national health insurance system. The program includes educational sessions led by multidisciplinary professionals, adapted physical activities, and a comprehensive health assessment. The initiative is currently being expanded to three cantons: Geneva, Vaud, and Valais.
