Europe in the Age of Health Promotion: Learn More [Bibliography]
This section, dedicated to health promotion in Europe, focuses specifically on European resource centers. We hope this information will enable readers to get involved in international initiatives or projects. To begin with, we have included two glossaries and a directory to provide readers with standardized or validated definitions and help them identify key individuals or potential contacts. The second part of the section, which is the most substantial, compiles a list of European resource centers: which are the major European agencies, what health indicators or statistics are available, and how can one identify the major European public health networks? This is followed by a list of specialized journals on health promotion or health education with a European or international focus. Finally, a brief bibliography (many open-access texts are already mentioned on the resource websites) will provide further details on this topic.[article excerpt]
