Empowering young people in a priority neighborhood: a necessary shift in the mindset of professionals.

Specialized prevention workers—more commonly known as street educators—are child welfare professionals who work in specific areas (priority neighborhoods) with young people at risk of social disengagement and vulnerability, using a collaborative approach. For these social workers, health education involves tailored approaches developed in collaboration with the young people involved, taking into account their social, economic, and cultural environments, within a comprehensive framework.
