What skills must a health, education, or social services professional possess to provide health education or promote the health of the people they serve? For the first time, a European framework on health promotion lists these skills. Drafted by several partners, including the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE)—and funded by the European Union—it is available online. The publication of another framework, drafted by INPES, on health education in France is expected in 2012.
