Developing health-promoting urban planning: a moral obligation.
Professor Hugh Barton has spent decades working for the WHO on the link between urban planning and health. He highlights the radical changes that have taken place over the past few centuries, as well as the major challenge we now face: making residents’ health the top priority before drafting any urban planning project. It is no longer the pursuit of profit that should take precedence, but the well-being of the population.
