Minutes of the national conference organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports and the Montpellier Regional Education Office, in conjunction with the "Epidaure" regional cancer center, with support from the EEC. Four hundred participants representing government ministries, organizations working in health education, teachers’ unions, parent-teacher associations, and officials from the European cancer control program, proposed recommendations regarding health education in schools. These proposals concern instruction in primary and secondary schools, as well as the issue of initial and continuing training for teachers and trainers in this field. Inter-academic conferences will be held in 1991 based on the model of this event, and regional and departmental committees will be able to participate.
