Cancer screening. Breast cancer screening program in France. 2003 results

New guidelines for the organized breast cancer screening program were introduced in 2002 and rolled out nationwide in 2003–2004. The program offers a mammogram—consisting of two images per breast—every two years to all women aged 50 to 74. We present the results of the impact, quality, and effectiveness indicators for this new program for the year 2003. (excerpt from the introduction)
