Attitudes of the French population toward cancer screening.

This article presents the main findings of the CFES's Baromètre 92 survey regarding social perceptions of cancer and its risk factors, as well as access to cancer screening. The statistical data pertain to: individual fear of cancer, in relation to individual fear of other diseases; and screening practices for breast and cervical cancer among the 1,075 women surveyed. The results help identify the factors that promote access to cancer screening and clarify the role played by screening campaigns.
