Alcohol consumption: Exceeding the low-risk guidelines. Santé publique France Health Barometer: Results of the 2024 edition

In 2024, 22.2% of adults reported drinking above the low-risk consumption guidelines over the past seven days (30.3% of men and 14.6% of women), a proportion that has remained stable since 2021. Those most affected are people who are better off in terms of education and perceived financial situation. 26.7% of consumers exceeding the guidelines report wanting to reduce their consumption.
