Public Health France Barometers
The Santé publique France Health Barometer: a survey of health-related behaviors, opinions, and knowledge designed to guide public health prevention and education policies.
Conducted in France’s overseas departments and regions (DROM) since 2014, this survey was carried out for the first time in 2020 in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, a territory of 242 km² with a population of just over 6,000.
The questionnaire, designed in partnership with the Territorial Health Administration (ATS) of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, covers a wide range of topics: the environment, addictions (tobacco, alcohol), vaccination, diet and physical activity, mental health, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Data collection took place by telephone from September 8 to November 7, 2020, with 993 residents of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon aged 18 to 85. The interview lasted an average of 33 minutes.
The survey method relied on the random generation of landline and mobile phone numbers.
The initial results of this study will be released in 2021.
