Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in the Pays de la Loire region. 2022 Report.

Key Points

In the Pays de la Loire region, during the enhanced surveillance period (May 1 to November 30, 2022):

  • 4 cases of dengue and 2 cases of chikungunya were reported.

  • All identified cases were imported.

  • No cases of Zika virus infection were reported in the region.

  • Only one notification was received by the Pays de la Loire Regional Health Agency (ARS) regarding the 6 cases of arboviral diseases reported during the 2022 enhanced surveillance period.

In mainland France, during the enhanced surveillance period (May 1 to November 30, 2022):

  • 272 imported cases of dengue, 22 imported cases of chikungunya, and 3 imported cases of Zika were reported.

  • 9 episodes of local dengue transmission (totaling 66 cases) were documented: 5 episodes in Occitanie, 3 in PACA, and 1 in Corsica.
