Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Bulletin dated July 31, 2025.
Key Points
In Occitanie, from May 1 to July 29, 2025, 70 imported cases of dengue, 89 imported cases of chikungunya, and 1 case of Zika were identified.
Eleven locally acquired cases of chikungunya were identified: 10 in Hérault (including 9 in the town of Castries) and 1 in Gard.
To limit the risk of local transmission, 209 entomological surveys and 128 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.
Nationwide, from May 1 to July 29, 2025, the following were identified:
659 imported cases of dengue, 47% of which were returning from Guadeloupe or Martinique,
867 imported cases of chikungunya, 79% of whom had returned from Réunion,
3 imported cases of Zika.
