In week 49 of 2025, indicators for acute respiratory infections (ARI) showed a marked increase in urban areas and hospitals across all age groups.
Bronchiolitis (children under 1 year of age)
The Occitanie region was in week 49 of its second epidemic wave. Indicators of healthcare utilization continue to rise: SOS Médecins calls and emergency room visits, but not hospitalizations, which have remained stable between weeks 1 and 2.
Virology data show an increase in the circulation of RSV.
Influenza and influenza-like illness
The Occitanie region entered the epidemic phase in week 49 of 2025.
COVID-19
Indicators are stable and at low levels in Occitanie. There is a slight increase in the wastewater indicator and reports of clusters of COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities.
