Key Points

Invasive Meningococcal Infections (IMI)

  • In Brittany, 24 cases of IIM were reported throughout 2024. Since the beginning of 2025 and as of February 26, 2025, 17 cases have already been recorded, including 11 in Ille-et-Vilaine.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Post-epidemic activity.

  • Decline in the monitored epidemic indicators.

Bronchiolitis

  • No epidemic activity.

  • Decrease in RSV detection according to the Virology Laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and a slight increase according to Brest University Hospital. Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

Pneumonia

  • Decrease in visits to hospital emergency departments and calls to SOS Médecins.

  • Utilization remains high among adults.

Gastroenteritis

  • High activity.

  • Indicators show an increase in the number of emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations.
