Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Bronchiolitis-related activity among children under 2 years of age at SOS Médecins clinics is within the range of the two previous seasons during the same period.

  • The number of emergency room visits is at baseline levels identical to those of the two previous seasons during the same period.

COVID-19

  • In week 37 (W37), the rate of confirmed cases in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté has been rising since late July, increasing from 33 per 100,000 inhabitants in W36 to 37 in W37. The percentage of cases involving suspected COVID-19 among SOS Médecins associations continues to rise (6.98% vs. 5.05% in W-1). The number of emergency department visits is stable and remains low (0.98% vs. 0.96% in W-1) (Figure 4). The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is relatively stable (37.7% vs. 31.8% in Week 1) and primarily involves those aged 65 and older (78.7%).
