Key Points

COVID-19

  • The decline in SARS-CoV-2 viral circulation continues in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (regional incidence rate below the national rate). Only Côte-d’Or has an incidence rate higher than the national rate. However, the regional positivity rate (21%) remains high (above the national level).

  • The decline in the use of emergency care and the number of new hospitalizations (both general and critical care) is continuing.

Influenza

  • The region remains in the post-epidemic phase.

  • The decline in the number of flu-like cases treated in emergency departments and by SOS Médecins continues.

  • No new severe cases of influenza were reported by the intensive care unit sentinel network this week (a total of 24 ICU admissions since the end of 2021).

  • No new outbreaks of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in community settings this week (9 ongoing outbreaks out of 33 reported since September 1, 2021. Among the reports, 9 are linked to influenza.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • The rate of gastroenteritis cases in emergency departments remains stable at around 1% but remains above the levels of the previous two seasons.
