Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, SARS-CoV-2 epidemic activity in week 07 is at a low level, with an incidence rate based on SIDEP data (TAG+PCR) estimated at 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate estimated at 4.4%.

  • Viral circulation remains more intense among those aged 20 and older (positivity rate around 5% and incidence rate above 23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

  • At the subregional level, departmental incidence rates range from 17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Territoire-de-Belfort to 32 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Yonne, and positivity rates range from 3.1% in Saône-et-Loire to 6.1% in the Nièvre. The testing rate is decreasing in all departments, with the exception of Doubs, where it remains stable.

Bronchiolitis

  • Post-epidemic phase.

  • In the post-epidemic phase for the third consecutive week, regional activity related to the bronchiolitis epidemic among children under 2 years of age remains stable at levels observed in previous seasons by the SOS Médecins associations and at a higher level than in previous years during the same period in emergency departments

Influenza

  • Epidemic phase.

  • Influenza activity (all ages) has stabilized at a high level among SOS Médecins associations and in emergency departments

  • 28 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care reported by the sentinel network of intensive care units

  • 45 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities since early October 2022

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics remains stable at a lower level than during the same period last season

  • Emergency department activity is lower than last season’s figures
