Health Surveillance in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Bulletin of January 8, 2026.

Key Points

Acute Respiratory Infections

  • In S01, ARI indicators remained generally stable, reflecting the reduced intensity of influenza and bronchiolitis outbreaks, although the situation varied across age groups.

Bronchiolitis

  • In S01, syndrome-based indicators related to bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age are declining.

Influenza

  • In S01, indicators for influenza/influenza-like illness began to decline, following an epidemic peak in S52. This decrease is notably linked to the effect of school holidays and a decline in transmission among children under 15 during this period. The possibility of a resurgence of the epidemic in January cannot be ruled out.

COVID-19

  • In S01, COVID-19 indicators remain at a low level, both in primary care and in hospitals.
