Key points

Guadeloupe and Martinique

  • In Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE* dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.

The overall decline in surveillance indicators continues.

However, vigilance must be maintained and efforts to combat the Aedes aegypti mosquito should even be stepped up, particularly in areas with high tourist potential: during May 2024, 67% of dengue cases imported into mainland France were linked to travel to Guadeloupe or Martinique.

Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin

  • Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin are in Phase 1 of the PSAGE*: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s).

Dengue circulation remains at low levels; the situation has returned to normal since mid-March 2024.
