Key points

Guadeloupe

Since the peak of the fourth wave (week 2021-32), virological indicators have declined sharply over the following three weeks. However, positivity and incidence rates remained above their respective alert thresholds in week 2021-35. The 15–44 age group remains particularly affected, especially those aged 30–39.

In hospitals, the situation remains concerning, with a still-high number of new hospitalizations across all departments and in critical care. Excess mortality, across all ages and causes of death, has been recorded since week 2021-31.

Saint Martin

Incidence and positivity rates decreased significantly during week 2021-35, and the positivity rate was slightly above the alert threshold. In hospitals, the number of new hospitalizations across all departments remained stable.

Saint-Barthélemy

SARS-CoV-2 circulation was at a low level during week 2021-35. The second wave of the epidemic experienced by Saint-Barthélemy this summer lasted five weeks, from mid-July (2021-29) to mid-August (2021-33).
