As a scientific, expert, and public health safety agency, its missions include:

  1. Epidemiological observation and surveillance of the population’s health status;
  2. Monitoring health risks threatening the population;
  3. Promoting health and reducing health risks;

Missions and Activities

Reporting to the Head of the Medical Reserve Logistics Unit:

  • The logistics apprentice’s primary role will be to organize the management of the Medical Reserve’s material resources before, during, and after each operation, rotation, and training session for medical reservists.

As part of the logistics unit, the apprentice will contribute in particular to:

  • The continuous improvement of overall logistics as part of a quality-focused approach
  • Managing and optimizing inventory
  • Updating logistics batches and kits

As part of managing logistics for operations and training exercises for medical reservists, the apprentice will be responsible for managing equipment with a view to optimization. They will conduct a post-operation review (Retex) following each equipment deployment and propose areas for improvement as needed.

The apprentice will participate in the Medical Reserve’s overall logistics project, from defining objectives through the various procurement procedures to ensuring all logistical components are operationally ready.

The apprentice will independently monitor certain logistics files in collaboration with all partners in the supply chain—both internal to Santé publique France (such as support departments) and external (service providers, central purchasing agencies, etc.)—under the supervision of the head of the Medical Reserve’s logistics unit.

As part of their duties, the apprentice may be required to travel, particularly to our remote national storage facility.
