Prison and health education.
Jean-Marie Delarue served as Inspector General of Places of Detention from June 2008 to June 2014. In this capacity, he visited every French correctional facility (including those in the overseas departments), where, over the course of those years, he was able to observe the reality on the ground and, in particular, listen to the voices of the inmates. He has agreed to bear witness to this reality and assesses the health challenges of incarceration, while proposing strategies for action. Generally speaking, prison can be a place where conditions unknown to the patient or left untreated by them are addressed.
