Key Points
In Week 21 (May 18–24, 2026), SOS Médecins’ activity decreased compared to the previous week among children, particularly those under 2 years of age (-18%, or 1,159 fewer visits) and those aged 75 and older (-10%, or 751 fewer visits), while remaining stable among those aged 15–74.
In line with rising temperatures, there was an increase in cases for:
- allergies among those aged 2–14 and 15–74 (+30%, or +508 visits) and insect bites across all age groups (+53%, or +291 cases), at levels comparable to previous years,
- dehydration among adults (+82%, or +28 visits) and general malaise among those aged 15–74 (+28%, or +53 visits).
Among children aged 2–14, an increase in cases of trauma was also observed (+12%, or +105 cases), at levels comparable to previous years.
Finally, cases involving anxiety among those aged 15–64 (+12%, or +157 cases) and depressive states among those aged 15–44 (+17%, or +37 cases) increased compared to the previous week, remaining at levels higher than those of previous years.
