In week 39 (September 23–29), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics leveled off among children (after two consecutive weeks of increases) and rose slightly among adults (+4%, or 2,079 visits).

Over the past week, there has been an increase in seasonal respiratory conditions, including:

  • bronchitis (+15%, or +510 visits) across all age groups,

  • among adults: ENT conditions (+6%, or +702 visits) and isolated fever (+11%, or +29 visits among those aged 15–74 only);

  • bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+7%, or +12 cases) and asthma in those aged 75 and older (+33%, or +12 cases);

There was also an increase in visits for vomiting across all age groups (+15%, or +124 visits) and gastroenteritis (+6%, or +202 visits) among those aged 15–74.

Among the most common conditions, notable increases were seen in cases of infectious conjunctivitis (+9%) in children under 2 years of age for the second week, abdominal pain in children aged 2–14 (+16%) and adults (+11%), urinary tract infections in adults (+6%), and trauma (+9%) in those aged 75 and older.
