Summary

In week 38 (September 17–23), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics continued to rise among children (+9%, or 1,864 visits) and among those aged 15–74 (+7.4%, or 2,850 visits), while remaining stable among those aged 75 and older.

Among nonspecific indicators, there was an increase in visits for asthma among those aged 15–74 (+25%, or +106 visits), while such visits decreased for the first time among children (-9%, or -55 visits). Visits for general malaise among those aged 15–74 also rose (+34%, or +71 visits).

Among seasonal indicators, there was an increase in visits for infectious conjunctivitis among both children (+31%, or +98 visits) and those aged 15–74 (+25%, or +45 visits). Visits for chickenpox are also on the rise among children aged 2–14 (+42%, or +21 visits). An additional 8 visits for meningitis compared to the previous week were also noted among those aged 15–74.

Among children and adults aged 15–74, the most common conditions showed an increase in visits for bronchitis (up 39% and 35%, respectively) and ENT infections (up 14% and 25%, respectively). There was also an increase in visits: - among children: for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+33%), dental problems (+18%) and vomiting (+14%), - among people aged 75 and older: for falls (+37%), pneumonia (+28%) and acute abdominal pain (+12%).
