Key Points

• In Week 37 (September 8–14, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children (+36%, or +6,672 visits) and remained stable among adults.

• The increase in activity observed among children is mainly driven by the rise in cases related to upper respiratory tract conditions (+76%, or +5,313 visits). This indicator is also on the rise among those aged 15–74 (+20%, +1,806 visits). The numbers are comparable to those of the previous three years.

• Regarding other respiratory indicators, there was an increase in medical procedures across all age groups for influenza/influenza-like illness (+50%, or +856 procedures), bronchitis (+45%, or +779 procedures), and suspected COVID-19 infection (+66%, or +646 procedures). The number of medical procedures for asthma attacks is also rising among those under 15 years of age (+112%, or +309 procedures) and, to a lesser extent, among adults (+17%, or +71 procedures). Among children under 1 year of age, medical procedures for bronchiolitis are also on the rise (+272%, or +60 procedures). For all these indicators showing an increase, the numbers are comparable to those of the previous three years.

• Among other indicators, there was an increase in medical procedures across all age groups for viral syndrome (+37%, or +294 procedures), among children aged 2–14 for gastroenteritis (+18%, or +213 procedures), and among those aged 75 and older for deterioration in general health (+16%, or +41 procedures).
