Summary
In week 36 (September 3–9), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children (+17%, or +2,092 visits) and remained stable among adults.
Following this first week of the new school year, we note an increase in visits for asthma among children (+107%, or +178 visits) and adults (+22%, or +74 visits), and for isolated fever among children only (+17%, or +84 visits), with activity shares comparable to those observed in the previous two years. As for other non-specific and seasonal indicators, they are all stable or declining, both among children and adults.
In line with overall activity, the most common conditions are mostly on the rise among children, particularly visits for respiratory tract conditions (+30%, or +1,228 visits), bronchitis (+21%, or +82 visits), and trauma (+17%, or +65 visits). Among adults, notable increases include gastroenteritis (+8%) among those aged 15–74 and injuries (+18%) among those aged 75 and older.
