Nationally and across the regions, activity among healthcare providers has been rising slightly since the beginning of September. Overall activity across all healthcare providers is slightly higher than last year for the same period.

Activity related to gastroenteritis has increased slightly (+10%), with case numbers slightly higher than last year for the same period; this trend is observed across all age groups, except among 5- to 14-year-olds.

Following a sharp increase in asthma attack diagnoses in early September, activity related to this indicator appears to have stabilized at a high level and remains above last year’s levels for the same observation period.

Flu diagnoses are on the rise (+45%, 297 reported cases), particularly among those aged 15–74; this trend is comparable to 2011 for the period. Calls to SOS Médecins for flu-like symptoms (reasons for calling) account for 25% of the associations’ total activity.

The bronchiolitis indicator among children under 2 years of age is slightly increasing (+19 cases).

The death rate is stable and comparable to 2011 for the same period.

For all age groups, the main conditions observed are ENT conditions (nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis) and gastroenteritis.
