Key Points
In week 40 (September 29–October 4, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.
Among respiratory indicators, there was an increase in procedures, at levels comparable to those of previous years:
across all age groups: for acute bronchitis (+7%, or +279 cases),
among children: for pneumonia (+22%, or +30 cases), asthma attacks (+8%, or +43 cases), bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age (+16%, or +20 cases),
among adults: for suspected COVID-19 (+8%, or +182 cases) and among those aged 15–74 for influenza/influenza-like illness (+7%, or +238 cases) and pneumonia (+7%, or +32 cases).
There was also an increase in cases:
for gastroenteritis in all age groups (+7%, or +307 cases), vomiting in children aged 2–14 and adults aged 15–74 (+8%, or +31 cases), and acute abdominal pain in adults aged 15–74 (+7%, or +92 cases),
for conjunctivitis across all age groups (+7%, or +58 cases),
for depression in adults (+13%, or +35 cases).
Finally, among the most common conditions in people aged 75 and older, there was an increase in cases of trauma (+8%, or +27 cases), low back pain/sciatica (+15%, or +35 cases), urinary tract infections (+9%, or +21 procedures), and death certificates (+25%, or +71 procedures, at levels comparable to previous years).
