Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable over the past week, both nationally and regionally, with patient numbers slightly higher than in 2011 for the same period. There was a slight increase among children. Activity related to gastroenteritis remained stable across all age groups (13% of total activity), at a level slightly higher than in 2011. Furthermore, there has been a slight increase among children under 5 years of age (+19%). The asthma attack indicator has stabilized across all age groups at a level that remains higher than in October 2011. This trend for these two indicators is also observed in the emergency departments of the Oscour network.Calls to SOS Médecins for flu-like symptoms remained stable over the past week (32% of calls), while flu diagnoses increased (409 cases over the period, or +80 cases compared to the previous week) and remain at a low level, as expected for the season.The reasons for calls involving children under 2 years of age for respiratory conditions are on the rise (+31%); there is also a slight increase in bronchiolitis diagnoses (+10%) for numbers comparable to 2011. The death rate remains stable over the period and is comparable to 2011.The main conditions observed across all age groups are ENT infections (nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis, and otitis) as well as gastroenteritis. There is also an increase in diagnoses of bronchitis across all age groups, particularly among those under 15 years of age (+27%).
