SOS Médecins National Newsletter, October 12, 2010

Over the past week, the total volume of activity at SOS Médecins clinics has stabilized across all age groups compared to the previous week.

The "Asthma" and "Bronchiolitis and Respiratory Diseases in Infants" indicators have continued to decline over the past month.

The "gastroenteritis" indicator has been rising steadily for several weeks. This increase is more pronounced in the West and Center/Ile-de-France regions.

Furthermore, the reasons for calls regarding fever among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 74-year-olds have stabilized. There has also been an increase in clinical influenza diagnoses and a stabilization in the reasons for calls regarding flu-like symptoms (graphs not shown here).

The number of deaths certified by the SOS Médecins associations has risen slightly over the past week.
