Summary

In week 39 (September 24–30), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

Among the non-specific indicators, the only notable trend is an increase in visits for asthma among adults (+13.8%, or +77 visits) and among children under 2 years of age (+42.9%, or +27 visits), while visits are down among 2- to 14-year-olds (-13.5%, or -66 visits).

Among seasonal indicators, there was an increase in visits for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+20%, or +33 visits), bronchitis across all age groups (+9.5%, or +306 visits across all ages), pneumonia in children (+20.6%, or +20 visits), and ENT conditions in adults (+9.7%, or +857 visits). Finally, there was a slight increase in visits for infectious conjunctivitis among children aged 2–14 (+13.8%, or +22 visits).

Among the most common conditions, aside from the seasonal conditions showing an increase, the only notable trends specific to children were an increase in visits for dermatological issues among children under 2 years old (+42.7%) and for abdominal pain among children aged 2–14 (+9.8%).
