SOS Médecins National Newsletter, November 9, 2010

Over the past week, with the end of the school break, the total volume of activity at SOS Médecins clinics has decreased across all age groups and in all geographic areas.

Calls for "bronchiolitis and respiratory conditions in infants" among children under 2 years of age also decreased compared to the previous week. They account for approximately 40% of calls for this age group.

The "gastroenteritis" indicator has been rising steadily for several weeks. It accounts for about 15% of call reasons.

Compared to the previous week, diagnoses of clinical influenza have stabilized. The reasons for calls regarding flu-like symptoms decreased among children under 5 and among those aged 15–74, while they remained stable among children aged 5–14 and people over 75.

The number of deaths certified by the SOS Médecins associations has decreased compared to the previous week.
