In Week 44 (November 1–7, 2021), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among those aged 15–74 (+7%, or +3,339 visits), decreased among those aged 2–14 (-12%, or -2,330), and remained stable in other age groups. After a week of stabilization, cases involving suspected COVID-19 are on the rise again (+22% in Week 44 vs. -2% in Week 43). In total, 1,149 cases were recorded in Week 44 (vs. 941 cases in Week 43, or +208 cases). The increase is observed across all age groups but is less pronounced among 2- to 14-year-olds (+10%). Cases involving suspected COVID-19 have returned to 10th place among the most common conditions among 15- to 74-year-olds.

At the regional level, SOS Médecins medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 are on the rise in all regions except Martinique, Normandy, and Occitanie. Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 253,769 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed. Seasonal respiratory indicators are declining among children, with the exception of an increase in cases of bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age—at a level higher than in previous years (+10%, or +77 cases)—and upper respiratory tract conditions, which also affect adults (+7%, or +1,043 cases across all ages). More specifically among adults, there has been an increase in procedures among those aged 15–74 for pneumonia (+19%, or +55 procedures) and influenza (+6%, or +29 procedures), and among those aged 75 and older for bronchitis (+21%, or +75 procedures) and asthma (+16%, or +9 procedures), with levels higher than those observed in previous years.

Among other indicators, there was an increase in procedures for infectious conjunctivitis across all age groups (+8%, or +90 procedures), at a level higher than in previous years, and for chickenpox (+51%) among 2- to 14-year-olds.
