In week 47 (November 18–24), total activity continued to rise among children aged 2–14, though at a more moderate rate compared to the previous week (+6.2%, or +1,299 procedures), and declined slightly among children under 2 years of age (-4%). Among adults, total activity is also down, particularly among those aged 75 and older (-10.2%, or -753 visits).
Over the past week, there was an increase in seasonal indicators:
For influenza/flu-like illness in both children (+35%, or +72 cases) and adults aged 15–74 (+22%, or +188 cases),
For respiratory conditions in children: acute bronchitis (+13%, or +185 cases), ENT conditions in 2- to 14-year-olds (+11%, or +1,090 cases), and bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+8%, or +39 cases). An epidemic of bronchiolitis has been declared in 8 regions (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Guadeloupe, Martinique), and 5 other regions are in the pre-epidemic phase,
For infectious conjunctivitis (+13%, or +41 cases) and viral syndrome (+13.6%, or +66 cases) in children aged 2–14 years.
