Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remains stable across all age groups and by age bracket, both nationally and in most geographic regions. A slight increase is noted in the West and Central-East regions. Case numbers are comparable to those in 2011 and 2012 for the same period. Over the past week, respiratory conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia, have continued to rise across all age groups for the second consecutive week. Among children under 15, ENT conditions are again on the rise this week: nasopharyngitis (+12%, +333 cases), otitis (+23%, +427 cases). The asthma attack indicator is on the rise (+13%, +89 cases); this trend primarily affects children under 15 (+21%, +86 cases). Case numbers across all age groups are higher than in 2011 and 2012. The indicators for bronchitis and pneumonia are both rising across all age groups and regardless of age category, respectively (+18%, +340 cases and +12%, +29 cases), with numbers comparable to 2011 and 2012.Among children under 2 years of age, diagnoses of bronchiolitis are on the rise (+30%, +71 cases), with case numbers comparable to 2012. This increase is observed across all geographic regions and is more pronounced in the Northern region.
Other seasonal indicators: The influenza indicator remained stable over the past week across all age groups, though an increase was noted among 5- to 14-year-olds (+55%, +31 cases). Case numbers are comparable to those in 2011 and 2012 for the same period.The gastroenteritis indicator has remained stable over the period across all age groups, and activity related to this indicator is comparable to that of 2012. An increase in activity related to this indicator is noted among 5- to 14-year-olds (+12%, +63 cases).
