SOS Médecins' caseload remained stable over the past week, despite a mixed increase in activity over the November 11 weekend among children under 5, both nationally and across regions. Diagnoses of gastroenteritis are on the rise across all age groups (+13% for all ages and +25% for children under 15*), accounting for more than 6% of total activity. Diagnoses of bronchiolitis are also increasing, accounting for 6% of diagnoses among children under 2 years of age; they remain at a higher level than during the same period last year. Influenza diagnoses are on the rise (+23% across all age groups*) nationwide and in most regions; they account for nearly 2% of SOS Médecins’ activity, a level equivalent to that observed during week 45 of 2010. Measles diagnoses are stable for the period. The death rate is stable.
