Overall Activity Trends: Over the past week, SOS Médecins activity remained stable nationwide. There was a decrease in activity among children under 5 years of age (-11%, -1,174 consultations). Slight increases were observed in regions (excluding Île-de-France) toward the end of the week, likely due to the long weekend of May 1. Case numbers remain slightly higher than those in 2012 and 2013.

Trends in Seasonal Indicators The asthma attack indicator is down (-15%, -76 diagnoses); case numbers are close to those of 2012 and account for 1% of the associations’ overall activity. Allergy diagnoses are stable across all age groups. There is a decrease in this indicator among adults and children under 15 (-11%, -91 diagnoses). The number of cases is similar to that of 2012 and 2013. Activity related to this indicator accounts for approximately 2% of the associations’ overall activity. Gastroenteritis diagnoses are down across all monitored age groups (-14%, -406 diagnoses). The number of cases is similar to that of 2012 and 2013. This indicator accounts for 6% of the associations’ total activity.

The main conditions reported are ENT infections (tonsillitis, nasopharyngitis, and otitis) and gastroenteritis. However, over the past week, a decrease in activity has been observed for all these indicators across all age groups and among children under 15 years of age.
