Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable over the past week, both nationally and regionally, with patient numbers comparable to those of 2012 and 2011 for the same period. This stability in activity has been observed for nearly a month. However, at the national level, there has been an increase in activity among children under 15 years of age (+19%, 15,027 weekly consultations). The indicator for asthma attacks is on the rise (+34%, 510 cases), with this trend primarily affecting children under 15 years of age (+71%, 453 cases). Diagnoses of asthma attacks account for 1.2% of SOS Médecins’ total activity, with numbers comparable to 2012 and slightly higher than in 2011. The allergy indicator remained stable over the period, accounting for 1% of the associations’ total activity, with numbers comparable to 2011 and significantly lower than in 2012. Diagnoses of gastroenteritis remained stable over the period and across all age groups (2,090 cases); this indicator accounts for 4% of the total activity of the associations’ physicians, with numbers slightly higher than in 2012 and 2011. Among children under 2 years of age, there was an increase in bronchiolitis diagnoses (+49%, 112 cases) and in calls for respiratory conditions (+31%, 1,553 cases). The death rate remained stable and comparable to previous seasons. Over the past week, there has been an increase across all age groups in diagnoses of nasopharyngitis (+25%, 3,218 cases), otitis (+19%, 1,822 cases), and bronchitis (+18%, 1,526 cases). Diagnoses of isolated fever are on the rise among children under 15 years of age (+39%, 581 cases). Among adults over 15 years of age, there has been an increase in calls to SOS Médecins for sciatic-type pain (+19%, 1,438 cases).
